Where it is weaker: Cleaned PDFs are made of page images, so text can no longer be selected. The fill suits plain or gradient backgrounds and is not meant for photographs behind the badge.
How to use the notebooklm watermark remover
- Add PNG, JPG or PDF files from NotebookLM. You can add several at once.
- Each file is processed at once: the badge is found and painted over from the colours around it. PDFs are processed page by page.
- Check the before and after view of each file.
- Download each file or all of them as a ZIP.
How it works
Finding the badge
The badge sits in the bottom right corner at a size that depends on the page. The tool measures the corner of the image or page to locate it and limits the change to that small area.
How the fill works
The fill rebuilds the strip from the rows just above and below it, blending between them, and only replaces pixels that differ from that blend. It suits the flat or gradient backgrounds NotebookLM uses. It is not meant for photographs.
PDF pages
A PDF is drawn page by page to an image, cleaned, and put back together as a new PDF. Because each page becomes an image, text in the result is no longer selectable and the file can be larger than the original.

Limits you should know about
- PDF output is image based: text can no longer be selected or searched, and links are lost.
- Files up to 50 MB are accepted. Very long PDFs take a while because every page is drawn at twice its size.
- The fill works best on plain or gradient backgrounds. If the badge sits over a picture, a trace can remain and you may need an image editor.
- Only the NotebookLM badge position is supported. Other watermarks are not detected.
Use it responsibly
- This tool removes the visible mark only. Invisible provenance data, such as SynthID or content credentials, is not touched and may still identify the file as AI generated.
- Do not present AI generated work as human made or as footage of a real event. Check the terms of the service that made the file and your rights to the content before you share or sell it.

Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Images and PDFs are processed in the browser and are never sent to a server.
Why can't I select text in the cleaned PDF?
Each page is turned into an image to remove the badge, then packed into a new PDF. Text becomes part of the picture.
Does the page size change?
No. The badge area is filled in, so the image or page keeps its full size.
Can I use this on work I do not own?
Only on content you have the right to edit. Check the terms of the service and the rights to the material first.
